And while there may be hope for the eventual third member, we’re not holding our collective breath.

As critical as we are of Tony’s long and liberal record, and boy are we critical, even we have to agree that he was fairly consistent on family-oriented issues, on votes that say, Randy Thomasson may have cared about.

Apparently that sole-redeeming quality doesn’t hold true for Tony’s "better half.”

It has come to our attention that Audra was the LONE Republican supportive voice for the eerily named “California Compassionate Choices Act” (aka, "KILLING OLD PEOPLE SO WE DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEM ACT").

See for yourself: http://www.aroundthecapitol.com/billtrack/votes.html?voteid=1077910

Thankfully, this monstrous piece of legislation appears “dead” (pardon the pun) this session. But nonetheless, what in the world was Audra thinking?

Just read this Press-Telegram story to read how flippantly Audra and her Democrat co-conspirators deal with issues of life: http://democrats.assembly.ca.gov/members/a01/articles/an012005054.htm

BLOG TOUTS TONYTHESTRICKLAND

http://occourant.blogspot.com/2005/07/strickland-hit-on-his-right-flank.html

Orange County blog, the "OC Courant" recently highlighted the launch of TonyTheStrickland.

As they put it,

This website isn't something to scoff at. These are real legislative measures that I always knew Strickland supported. It's a website constructed by conservatives. I have my hunches as to who they are. The problem is, because he's the conservative in the match against Maldonado (a really liberal Republican), and because he has already gathered endorsements and raised the money, he's conservatives' best shot.

Perhaps this website will push Strickland to the Right, much like the McClintock candidacy did with Ahnuld. If it does, it's alright with me. If it doesn't, at least it encourages informed voting.

We couldnt have put it better ourselves!

Tony the Strickland Announces for Office

So, Tony has decided to run for Controller.

Time for each of us to choose our favorite metaphor. I've heard Judas and Benedict Arnold repeatedly, but I think I may stick with wolf in sheeps clothing.

Whatever you choose, let's pick apart Tony's first release, shall we?

Where oh where to begin.

Well, how about with the first word, "popular." Anybody who remembers Audra Strickland opponent, Mike Robinson's well leaked polling knows how very wrong any claim of popularity is.

Secondly, there was absolutely nothing quiet about Tony's gear up, as he probably told the guy at the donut store (which Tony has clearly been visiting a bit more lately) about his impending implosion, er, campaign. And who in the heck called Tony about this? He must've been feeling symptoms of carpeltunnel from all that dialing.

And, c'mon, puhleeze, as you read on further on these pages, you'll see how far from the truth calling Tony either a "fiscal conservative" or a "budget hawk" is.

Lastly, but certainly not leastly: "Tony, I know Tom McClintock, and you sir, are no Tom McClintock!"
