Tony the Strickland Announces for Office

So, Tony has decided to run for Controller.

Time for each of us to choose our favorite metaphor. I've heard Judas and Benedict Arnold repeatedly, but I think I may stick with wolf in sheeps clothing.

Whatever you choose, let's pick apart Tony's first release, shall we?

Where oh where to begin.

Well, how about with the first word, "popular." Anybody who remembers Audra Strickland opponent, Mike Robinson's well leaked polling knows how very wrong any claim of popularity is.

Secondly, there was absolutely nothing quiet about Tony's gear up, as he probably told the guy at the donut store (which Tony has clearly been visiting a bit more lately) about his impending implosion, er, campaign. And who in the heck called Tony about this? He must've been feeling symptoms of carpeltunnel from all that dialing.

And, c'mon, puhleeze, as you read on further on these pages, you'll see how far from the truth calling Tony either a "fiscal conservative" or a "budget hawk" is.

Lastly, but certainly not leastly: "Tony, I know Tom McClintock, and you sir, are no Tom McClintock!"
